They don’t call it party season for nothing. The year is coming to a close, but it seems the fashion social calendar has just begun. Not long after the national airing of the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, Chanel has uncovered their new collection, Metiers D’Art. Before you take out your wallet, the new collection is not to hit boutiques until May 2017. Until then, let’s take a moment to appreciate the splendid affair that was the Chanel Metiers D’Art show.
The Chanel Metier D’Art 2016/17 collection is pure art. Elaborate patterns characterized the show, along with innovative denim details. Plus, it seems like shimmery silhouettes are back in. The fashion house has brought its own touch of femininity that certainly played off in this collection.
While the Metiers D’Art collection is all about elegance, the show was surprisingly down to earth. Within the luxurious Ritz Paris, the Cosmopolite guests were seated at round tables. Models walked the around the seated guests, making every seat in the room a good one.
Many stars were in attendance, and they’re probably not the ones you’re expecting. Pharrell Williams walked the show, showing us there really isn’t anything he can’t do. Disney star Rowan Blanchard and Willow Smith were also in attendance. Actually, Willow gave the Paris audience a live debut of her new November 9 that stole the night. She and her mother, Jada Pinkett-Smith, were everyone’s mother-daughter goals Tuesday. After all, families that slay together stay together.
Sing the Night Away
Who doesn’t love karaoke? When all was said and done, a few celebs headed to the after-party. French actress and singer Cécile Cassel channeled her inner Jet member while serenading Pharrell. Meanwhile, Korean fashion icon G-Dragon and friends were living large with bottle service and plenty of karaoke mics for the whole table.
Undoubtedly, the Chanel Metiers D’Art Show in Paris was a day to remember for all those who attended. If you want to see more looks from the show, they can be found here. There’s also footage coming soon! When it’s available to the public, you’d be able to watch it online here.
